So, one of the things that the students did today was practice dribbling, they warmed up their bodies. They practice shooting. We also sat down and reviewed the very basic places in the court. And we did a half-court scrimmage game with the three older boys against the five younger kids and myself. The kids were generally well behaved and enjoyed the class.
Generally it was a little bit of a shock that I had to substitute the class. But luckily, since I knew where everything was and have played basketball myself in high school, I had a little bit more knowledge than I even anticipated and a student Jasper is a complete basketball head. So he was able to remind me of a lot of things and assist with the class kind of like a teacher assistant.
