Juanita, affectionately known as Nita, is a dedicated and passionate educator with deep roots in San Francisco and a connection to her Mexican and Indigenous heritage. With a background in neuroscience and psychology as a pre-med student, Juanita aspires to specialize in pediatrics or forensic psychiatry. Her experience as a youth surf instructor at City Surf Project has honed her skills in engaging with children of all backgrounds, including those with special needs and disabilities. Nita is family-oriented, loves spending time outdoors with her rescued dogs, Zorro and Crawford, and believes in nurturing the boundless potential within every child.
