This educational and energetic 5-week series will teach kids of all ages about the fundamentals of basketball. Every week, theyβll strengthen their fitness and motor skills as they learn about the different types of passes, how to dribble, defend, pivot, rebound, and shoot with good form through a variety of drills. In the last week, they'll celebrate everything they've learned with a roundtable of teammate appreciations and basketball challenges (with prizes)! Best with a minimum of 4 kids. Experience can take place in a driveway or backyard with a hoop, or at a local park/court.
Travis is a passionate Physical Education teacher and coach with over a decade of experience working with kids ages 5-18 including 3 years in the Denver Public School District. Next year he'll be starting with Jefferson County. Travis has coached high school football and lacrosse, and has also worked with toddlers at MyGym (including running birthday parties at the studio).
Travis' undergraduate degree is in Sports and Exercise Science, and he has a current Colorado Teaching License. His hobbies and interests include football, lacrosse, yoga and meditation, and anything and everything including movement!
Travis is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
