This plush experience is created for kids ages 6 to 12. They'll design and create their very own travel study pillow, perfect for summer reading and studying while adventuring! Children will learn to use a sewing machine and follow technical instructions to construct their designs. They'll also get to work with a variety of materials, fabrics, and accessories, exposing them to different stitch types as they apply finishing touches to their pillow. Teacher Marsha brings the sewing machines, and all materials, to you!
Fashion designer and in-demand sewing instructor, Marsha has taught sewing privately for the past 13 years. Before teaching, she worked as a seamstress in her university's theater costume shop while studying to be designer. Marsha currently teaches a variety of after-school sewing programs, and has instructed hundreds of private students ages 3 and up in their homes, beginning with hand-sewing and more advanced technique on sewing machines for older aged schoolchildren. She's excited to bring needle and thread, creativity and fun, to your kids!
