This is a brand new Experience from Teacher Marsha to celebrate Spring! Created for children ages 3 to 9, kids will celebrate new season through sewing! In the first half of the experience, they will grow their very own flower garden through hand embroidery. The start of Spring also means bugs in season (our very favorite grasshoppers come out, then, too!), and your child will design and create a unique insect using a handful of materials that form interesting textures and shapes. As always, this experience will nurture creativity, enhance fine motor skills, and leave kids with something they can share to showcase the time they spent trying something new!
Fashion designer and in-demand sewing instructor, Marsha has taught sewing privately for the past 13 years. Before teaching, she worked as a seamstress in her university's theater costume shop while studying to be designer. Marsha currently teaches a variety of after-school sewing programs, and has instructed hundreds of private students ages 3 and up in their homes, beginning with hand-sewing and more advanced technique on sewing machines for older aged schoolchildren. She's excited to bring needle and thread, creativity and fun, to your kids!
