Michael, a Berkeley-based musician and educator, brings his passion for music and teaching to every interaction. He graduated from UC Berkeley, where he studied jazz under the mentorship of renowned musicians like Myra Melford and Kai Eckhardt. A seasoned performer, Michael has showcased his talents at high-profile music festivals such as Lightning in a Bottle and Desertica Festival in Mexico. With 7 years of experience teaching private guitar and bass lessons and 6 years of working with children, including as a counselor at Camp Kesem, Michael cultivates a warm, engaging learning environment. He is an active member of multiple jazz ensembles and rock bands throughout the Bay Area.
