Harry Potter lovers will relish in this fun and playful experience inspired by the disciplines taught to young wizards at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Kids will walk away with their own slime potion(s) as well as having explored the science of mixtures and substances, polymers, cross-linking, elasticity, and viscosity. They'll also have the opportunity to explore other magical arts such as charms, herbology, and defense against the dark arts. Some of the activities kids may participate in include: Wingardium Leviosa wand craft; a bubbling brew experiment; transforming lollipops into spiders; planting pumpkin seeds; Arithmancy and Ancient Runes math coding; wizard duels; and engineering a snitch catapult!
Maria has a Bachelors degree in Music Education, as well as a Colorado Initial Teaching License for elementary education grades K-6 and for music for grades K-12. She has 5 years of classroom experience, and over 10 years of experience working with children. Maria's passions include musical theater, singing, and playing musical instruments, all ideally performed in the great outdoors where she really loves to let her heart sing!
