African Drumming and World Percussion

Clap your hands for a musical experience that will have kids dancing in their seats! Kids will learn traditional African rhythms and have fun playing in a drum circle style. They will also learn how to incorporate various other percussion instruments into the music, such as tambourines, shakers, guiro, claves, and even a thunder stick! Djembes and other drums provided.

About Keelan

Multi-Instrumentalist Musician and Photographer

Keelan is a Colorado native and drummer of 15 years with a BS in Drum Kit Performance from the University of Colorado at Denver. Music is his lifelong passion, and he loves teaching kids to not only be great drummers, but great musicians. His experience teaching children includes several years working in after school programming, school cafeterias, and babysitting.

He's played drums in 7 different bands and gigged at venues of different sizes across Denver, including with his solo project "Openness" which has over 500,000 streams on Spotify. In Keelan's free time he enjoys making music, drinking tea, photography, and exploring nature.

Keelan is vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
